Henrietta M. Cerep, 90, of Clarks Summit, died Monday afternoon at the Jewish Home, Scranton.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha Jaworski Andren, she was a graduate of Central High School and went on to receive her registered nursing degree from the Scranton State Hospital School of Nursing. Before her retirement, she was employed as a registered nurse at the Clarks Summit State Hospital.
She is survived by two sons, Edward Cerep, Tunkhannock; and Alan Cerep and his wife, Christine, Plains; two daughters, Karen Jones and her husband, Richard, Harford; and Tina Babcock and her husband, Kurt, Tunkhannock; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Timothy and David Cerep.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, with services by Deacon Ray Peretti. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 9 until time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 57 N. Franklin St., Wilkes Barre, PA 18701.
