Helen J. Noreika, 92, of Clarks Summit, died Saturday evening at Allied Skilled Nursing Center, Scranton. She was the wife of Edward S. Noreika, who died in 2010.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late John and Mary Kaminskas Zukaukas, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and before her retirement was employed in office services for Haddon Craftsmen. Helen resided at Clarks Summit Senior Living for the past two years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church.
Surviving are a son, Edward Noreika and his wife, Tina, Simi Valley, Calif.; a daughter, Linda McMahon and her husband, James, Madison, N.J.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Vince and John Zukaukas; and two sisters, Dorothy Poveromo and Ann Kazlauskas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit, to be celebrated by Monsignor Joseph Quinn, pastor. Entombment will follow in Glenwood Mausoleum, Scranton.
The family will receive friends Monday from 9:15 to 10:15 at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Service Inc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
