Helen "Barbara" Lodwick, Clarks Summit, died Tuesday morning at Allied Hospice, Scranton. She was the widow of Donald Roy Lodwick, who died March 4, 2016. The couple had been married 64 years.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Willard Thomas and Helen Williams Evans. Prior to retirement, she was a bookkeeper for International Salt, Citizens Savings Bank, and Nichols Associates. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Dallas.
Surviving are three sons, Donald and wife, Sarah, Clarks Summit; William and wife, Lynn, New Palestine, Ind.; and Karl and wife, Wendy, Lebanon, Pa.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, David Lodwick, and five sisters: Doris Walter, Jeanette Caryl, Sara Webley, Mary Gaul, and Lois Morgan.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at 12 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit, with services by Rev. Jennifer Baer. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Abington Community Library, 1200 W Grove St, Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
