Helen M. Kapp, 80, of S. Abington Twp. died Thursday at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Her husband of over 60 years is Edward Kapp the Love of her life.
Born in Blakely, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Stella Puza Kasper. She was a graduate of Dickson City High School and the University Of Scranton Center for continuing Education. Helen worked most of her life as a server and bartender in the food service industry. Later on in life she worked as a representative for Dunn and Bradstreet and obtained her real estate license with Classic Properties. Helen was a devoted member of Our Lady of the Snows Parish and the local Catholic Diocesan.
Helen was full of life and crazy in love. She was most described as always being pleasant and happy no matter where she went. She was first and foremost a mother, and loved cooking and gardening even finding time to do some fashion clothes modeling. Beautiful and talented, She had a heart of gold and will be sorely missed.
Also surviving are three sons, Michael, Odessa, TX; Steven and wife Beth, Pittsburgh; Sean and companion Susan Duckworth, Waverly; a step-son Mike Sisson and wife Kimberly, Alpharetta , GA. five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by six sisters and one brother.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday from Our Lady of the Snows Church 301 S. State St. Clarks Summit by Father Seth Wasnock.
Entombment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 4-7 pm at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Shriners Children Hospital.
