Helen Rose Ceccoli, 95, of Dalton, died Thursday at the Jewish Home in Scranton. She was the widow of Joseph W. Ceccoli, who died in 1987.
Born in Eynon, daughter of Louis and Millie Lucas Mashe, she was a graduate of Archbald High School and was a licensed practical nurse. She worked in the Clarks Summit State Hospital as an occupational therapist for more than 20 years and, before retirement, worked as a private-duty nurse.
She was a loving and devoted mother to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter, Demaris M. Farrell and husband, Dr. Robert Farrell, Waverly; a son, Joseph Ceccoli and wife, Virginia, Philadelphia; a daughter-in-law, Katrina Ceccoli, Canton, Ga.; a brother, Martin Mashe and wife, Eleanor, Dickson City; a sister, Mary Cole, Lansdale; six grandchildren, Mari D. Byron and husband, William; Robert J. Farrell and wife, Lisa; Joseph D. Ceccoli Jr. and wife, Angela; Suzanne M. Walker and husband, Robert; Janet Cramer-Carelli and husband, Michael Carelli; Andrew B. Ceccoli and fiancée, Leia O'Donnell; and 11 great-grandchildren; Christina M. Byron, William J. Byron, Emily D. Byron, Robert A. Farrell, Colin J. Farrell, Matthew A. Farrell, Joseph D. Ceccoli III, Eli H. Walker, Zoe D. Walker, Eric J. Cramer and Mia S. Carelli.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Darryll M. Ceccoli; and brother, Daniel Mashe.
The funeral will be Tuesday with Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will follow in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Eynon.
