Helen Lois Pierson Cameron, 92, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Clarks Summit, died Sunday morning at Baldock Nursing Home, North Huntingdon. She was the widow of William A. Cameron Sr., who died in 1978. The couple was married in 1938.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Ruth Harmer Pierson. Before living in North Huntingdon for the past year, she had been a resident of Clarks Summit since 1951 and a member of Clarks Summit United Methodist Church and its Couples Class.
She was also a member of the Scranton Canoe Club and the Women's Club.
She was "the American Beauty Rose" in her graduating class and was a great seamstress and knitter.
She enjoyed life and was a wonderful person, mom and grandmother. She always remembered everyone's birthday.
Surviving are a brother, Eugene and wife, Eleanor, Albany, N.Y.; three children, Carol Palomera, Monroeville; Joan Vowler and husband, Bill, Irwin; and William Cameron Jr. and wife, Valerie, Archbald; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, to be officiated by the Rev. Judy Wanck, pastor of Clarks Summit United Methodist Church.
Interment will be in Dunmore Cemetery.
