Helen Tartaglione Brown, 83, of Clarks Summit, died Friday night at Community Medical Center. She was the wife of Charles Tartaglione, who died in 1956, and Harry Brown, who died in 1985.
Born in Perth Amboy, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Kaczmerski Lapunshinsky. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Woodbridge, N.J., and attended the Church of St. Benedict, Newton.
Surviving are a son, Charles and wife, Connie, Newton Twp.; two stepdaughters, Barbara Overall, California; and Harriet Mattox, Colorado; a brother, Stanley Lapunshinsky, New Jersey; and four grandchildren, Kristi, Derek, Casey and Tammy.
She also was preceded in death by three sisters, Rose Luckach, Ann Panko and Julie Lapunshinsky; and two brothers, Nicholas and John Lapunshinsky.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the Church of St. Benedict, Newton-Ransom Boulevard, Newton Twp. Interment, St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
