Harry E. Lamoreaux, 35 Eastview Drive, Clarks Summit, PA died Thurday night at his home. He and his wife, the former Kathryn Pidgeon, celebrated 53 years of marriage this September.
Born in Dundaff, he was son of the late Harry and Agnes Boulter Lamoreaux, he is a graduate of Forest City High School, attended the University of Scranton and the Pennsylvania State University, where he received his degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a member of the PSU Alumni Association and Delta Chi Fraternity. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Lockheed Martin and Gentex Corporations.
Surviving are four wonderful children; Jeff of Norwell, MA, Sharon Booz and husband Phil of Canton, GA, Beth Dwyer and husband Tom of Providence RI, and Chad of Washington, DC. Nine grandchildren: Ashley, Jake and Luke Lamoreaux; Brittney, Abbey and Connor Booz; Christopher, Matthew and Jonathan Dwyer; a sister, Grace Roberts of Rochester NY, a niece and a nephew of Rochester, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother Norman and his sister Ruth.
Family will receive friends Sunday from 11am to 1:30pm. A Prayer service will follow at 1:30 pm at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa, 18411, with service by Rev. John Lapera, Pastor of the Church of St. Gregory, Clarks Green, PA. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
