Harry S. Hopewell, Clarks Summit, died Saturday morning at the Allied Skilled Nursing Facility. He was the widower of the former Ethel Gaughan who died in 1981.
Born in Scranton he was the son of the late Harry and Florence Rogers Hopewell. Prior to his retirement he worked for Procter and Gamble in district sales. He was an Army veteran serving during World War II.
Surviving are a daughter Carole LaCoe and her husband Keith of Newton Twp.; a granddaughter Erin Kozlowski and her husband Mike, Newton Twp.; two grandsons Ryan LaCoe, Glenburn and Timothy LaCoe, Dickson City; two great grandchildren Michael and Lucy Kozlowski.
A private graveside service will be held in Forest Hill Cemetery in Dunmore.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
