Harold Solsman of Clarks Summit died Friday evening at the hospice unit in Community Medical Center. His wife is the former Marjorie Masters. The couple married in 1963.
Born in Olyphant, son of the late Floyd and Ethel Brugler Solsman, he was an electrician. In his retirement, he worked at the Moses Taylor Hospital garage. He was an Army veteran, an active member of Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, Waverly Masonic Lodge F&AM 301 and the American Legion in Olyphant.
Surviving are two daughters, Lauren Loftus and husband, Joseph, Dunmore; and Rebecca Bonnevier and husband, Ernest, Mountaintop; a son, Mark and wife, Kelley, Annapolis, Md.; eight grandchildren, Joseph II, Patrick and Meghan Loftus; Renald Petrauskas; Adam and Jessie Bonnevier; and Jeremy and Rachel Solsman; several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Janice Muncie.
There will be a funeral service Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, led by the Rev. Judy Wanck, pastor. Interment, Jermyn Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday, 4 to 8 p.m., at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Masonic services, 7.
