Grace L. Martenson, 82, Newton Twp., died Saturday morning in Abington Manor. She was the widow of the late Carl Martenson who died in 2003.
Born in Newton Twp., she was the daughter of the late Albert Lucker and Bertha Lubeck Lucker Lytle. She was a graduate of Newton Ransom High School being honored as Valedictorian of the class of 1950. Grace enjoyed knitting, was an avid Penguins hockey fan and looked forward to her trips to various casinos. She was a member of Countryside Community Church.
Surviving are two sons, Gary Martenson and his wife Mary, Newton Twp., and Randy Martenson and his wife Debra, Falls; a brother, Ralph Albert Lytle Jr. and his wife Nancy, Schultzville; 4 grandchildren, Kevin, Danielle, Amanda and Lexie Martenson; and her significant other, Howard Felker.
She was preceded in death by a son Dean, who died June 14, 2006; three sisters, Marilyn Logan, Nancy Smith, and Ronnie Lynn Masters.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family with Rev. Linda Eckersley,pastor of Jermyn and Montdale United Methodist Churches officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff at Abington Manor and the Heartland Hospice for the care and compassion shown while caring for Grace.
