Gloy H. Allen, Dalton, died Monday morning at The Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania.  She was the widow of Robert E. Allen, the couple was married for 65 years.
Born in Moline Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Monroe and Roma Osburn Hanneman. She was a graduate of United Township High School and Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. Gloy taught speech and drama at Hackensack Christian Schools in New Jersey before moving to the Clarks Summit area in 1986. Gloy volunteered in multiple capacities at Clarks Summit University for 25 years and as a member of Heritage Baptist Church she served in women's ministries and adult Bible fellowships.
During her youth she received Jesus Christ as her Savior. Her testimony was always that God blessed her with grace, mercy and faithfulness.
Also surviving is a daughter Lisa Konzelman and her husband Richard; a son Robb Allen and his wife Lina; grandchildren Kristen Hamilton and husband Kevin, Jonathan Konzelman and wife Amy, Lauren Konzelman and fiancée Larry Barnes, Haley Allen, and Collin Allen; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister Dolores Bates of Los Angeles, CA.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm at Heritage Baptist Church, 415
Venard Rd., Clarks Summit, PA  18411
. Friends may come to the church to greet the family from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. A private burial service will be held in Clarks Green Cemetery. Arrangements under the care of the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania for their excellent care.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts in Gloy's name may be made to the Alzheimers Association for Research at www.alz.org/research
