Glenora Jean Frutchey, 92, of South Abington Twp., died Sunday afternoon at Lackawanna Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olyphant. Her husband, James Allen Frutchey, died in 1980.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Nellie Hartt Barrett. She was of the United Methodist faith. Before retirement, she worked in the office supply business and later at Stanton's Greenhouse. She was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross.
Glenora's family would like to thank the staff at Life Gesinger in Scranton, the aides from Care Givers, and the staff at Lackawanna Health and Rehabilitation Center and VNA Hospice for their kindness and compassion.
Surviving are a son, James Arthur Frutchey and wife, Barbara, South Abington Twp.; three grandchildren, James Joseph Frutchey and wife, Donna, Clarks Summit; Matthew and Rachael Frutchey, South Abington Twp.; and two great-grandsons, Ethan and Evan Frutchey, Clarks Summit.
A funeral service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will follow at Abington Hills Cemetery, South Abington Twp.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
