Glenn A. Singer

Glenn A. Singer, 87, of Clarks Summit passed away peacefully at home. He was the husband of Nancy Spitzer Singer. The couple would have celebrated their 60 ^th wedding anniversary on February 25, 2021.

Born on the family farm in Falls Township, PA he was the son of the late Charles and Clara Bedell Singer and attended Falls Overfield School in Mill City, PA. Prior to retirement he was employed by Specialty Records WEA. He previously worked at Elliott Company (United Technologies), Metropolitan Life, and the State Highway Department (PennDot). Glenn served his country in the Air Force until May 1961 and was in the AF Reserve until May 1964. He was an Aircraft Technician and attained the rank of Sergeant (SSGT). He was a member of the VFW Post 7069, Clarks Summit.

Glenn was a handyman and could fix just about anything. He enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors, and working outside around his home. He took pride in his yard and loved to plant flowers in the springtime. In addition to his loving wife Nancy, he is also survived by son Todd (Clarks Summit), daughter Tina Verchuk and husband Chester (North Abington Twp), brother Homer and wife Charlotte (Cortland, Illinois), sister Sandy Hopkins and husband Bruce (Clarks Summit), sister-in-law Nancy M. Singer (Clarks Summit), and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister Romaine Jacques and two brothers, Clyde "Skip" and Raymond.

The family would like to thank Allied Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Glenn. A private memorial service in his memory will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Clarks Summit Fire Department, 321 Bedford Street, Clarks Summit or the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, South Abington Township.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
