Geraldine M. Brink Hayes, 86, of Clarks Summit, died Saturday morning at Mt. View Care Center in Scranton. Her first husband was the late William F. Brink who died in 1968. She was later wed to Edward Hayes who died in 2005.

Born in Taylor she was the daughter of the late Howard and Anna Jones Marsh. She was a graduate of Taylor High School and went on to graduate from Moses Taylor Hospital School of Nursing in 1950 where she received her registered nursing degree. She was employed by Sunbury Hospital and by Dr. Zalatimo for many years. Geraldine also worked with her husband Edward as an office manager for his business, EP Hayes Inc. Construction Co. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church, Clarks Summit.

Geraldine enjoyed spending her summers at her cottage at Mt. Lake. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank the staff and friends at Linden Crest Apartments for their thoughts and prayers, Dr. Michael Kondash for his wonderful care, the staff at Mt. View care center for their care and compassion during Geraldine's illness, and a special heart felt thank you to Lois Kretsch for being a wonderful friend and caregiver to Geraldine.

Surviving is a son Loren Brink, Clarks Green, a daughter Elizabeth Brink Heintzelman, Berwick, a brother Tallie Marsh, Elmira NY.; several grand and great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be held Thursday at 10:30 am from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa., with services by Msgr. James McGarry, Pastor. Interment will follow in Dunmore Cemetery.

Friends may call Thursday 9:30am until time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Snows Church.
