Gerald F. Reedy, 53, of Clarks Summit, died unexpectedly in his home Saturday morning.
Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late Patricia Peoples Crouse and Gerald Reedy, Duryea, and the step-son of Stuart Crouse. He was employed as a Shear Operator for Nivert Steel Co. and Tobyhanna Army Depot. His favorite past times were NASCAR, the beach, fishing, camping and rescuing unwanted animals. He loved working with his hands, whether it be on cars, computers or the day to day household repairs.
Surviving are his two daughters, Jennifer Bartrige and husband John, Spring Brook; and Sheri Polak, Dalton; a son Dylan Reedy, Falls; three grandchildren, Cassandra and Christopher Polak and Sophia Bartrige; two sisters, Linda Frenchko, Clarks Summit; and Joanna Morris and husband, Scott, Collegeville; a brother, Joseph Kaczmarek and wife, Jennifer, Collegeville; several nieces and nephews and his beloved cat Wiley.
A funeral service and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
