Gerald Alan "Jerry" Ferris Sr., Dickson City, died May 25 at Mercy Hospital.
Born in Easton, son of the late Carl Sr. and Helena Ferris, he was self-employed as a carpenter and drywall specialist. He was of the Methodist faith and taught woodworking at the 4-H Club.
Surviving are three sons, Jerry A. Jr., David and Scott; two daughters, Doreen Novack and Sharon Pearson; 16 grandchildren; a brother, Carl Ferris Jr.; four sisters, Marjorie Shay, Lois Longcorn, Ruth Kubs and Beverly Williams; two half-sisters, Debbie Dougherty and Diane Casino; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be in Clarks Green Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday, 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Jerry Ferris Sr. Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 137, Clifford, PA 18413. Online condolences may be sent to www.law renceeyoungfuneralhome.com.
