Gerald William Fallas, Dalton, passed peacefully in his sleep Friday morning at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Thomas and Marion Barabol Fallas. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Mini Golf Inc. for over 30 years. He was a member of the Army National Guard and enjoyed volunteering at the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center.
Surviving is his companion, the light and love of his life for the last 29 years; Ellen Clendenning of Dalton; and two daughters, Arielle Andreoli and her husband John of Carbondale, and Andrea Fallas-Prushinski and her husband Jozef of Peckville; a brother, Ted Fallas and his wife Judy of WA; a sister, Linda Lorent of Scranton; Also surviving are nieces and nephews as well as his beloved "fur" children Dixie Lee and Gunner.
Per Jerry's final wishes a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Gino J. Merli Veterans Center, Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, or Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
