Georgine Violet Habeeb, of Clarks Summit, died Thursday afternoon in Abington Manor nursing home. Her husband is Frederick Habeeb. The couple celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in April.
Born in Pottsville, daughter of the late John and Cathryn Hopsetter Murray, she had been a resident of the Clarks Summit area since 1955. She attended Our Lady of the Snows Church and was a member of its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a volunteer at Our Lady of the Peace School, Clarks Green, and Birthright, Scranton.
She was a loving and gentle women. Her husband, children and grandchildren were the greatest part of her life.
Also surviving are two sons, Rick Habeeb, Tunkhannock; and Gregg Habeeb, Chinchilla; a daughter, Kathee Senofonte, Clarks Summit; a sister, Doris Heckman, Pottsville; eight grandchildren, Todd, Rob, Mark, Gregory, Jennifer and John Habeeb, Karrie Millett and Marni Senofonte; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State S., Clarks Summit. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
