Geoffrey John Galdieri, 19, of Clarks Summit passed Tuesday morning as a result of injuries sustained from an automobile accident.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of Richard and Laura Fazzi Galdieri of Clarks Summit. He was a 2016 graduate of Abington Heights High School and was employed by Nina's Pizza while preparing to continue his education in the fall. He was a member of the church of St. Benedict, Newton.
Geoffrey enjoyed basketball, music festivals, skiing, skateboarding, swimming, soccer, and spending times with his friends. Geoffrey was a free spirit and had the most kind and gentle soul. He lived his life extremely non-prejudice, he loved all people equally. He was the shining light in all the lives he had touched. Although he was on this earth for a short 19 years, his memories will remain in the hearts of the ones he loved for their lifetime. After meeting Geoff, you knew you truly met someone special.
Also surviving are two brothers Randy Galdieri and his wife Diana, Scranton, and their children Cally, Alyviah, Landon, and Lucas; Anthony Galdieri and his wife Ashley, Dunmore; a sister Kayla Galdieri and her companion Johnny Brayer (Clarks Summit); maternal grandparents Vincent and Dee Fazzi (Scranton); paternal grandfather John Vincent Galdieri (Scranton); Geoffrey's longtime companion Catie Gilbride, Clarks Summit; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and great friends who he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Gertrude Galdieri.
A Memorial Blessing Service will be conducted by Msgr. Joseph G. Quinn, pastor on Saturday at 10 am from the Church of St. Benedict, 1849 Newton Ransom Blvd. Clarks Summit. All those attending please go directly to the church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends Friday from 3 to 7pm at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa. 18411.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Geoffrey's name to the charity of donor's choice.
