Frederick Campbell, 86, of Clarks Summit, passed away on Monday at Regional Hospital, Scranton. His wife of 65 years is Marlene Dailey Campbell.
Born in Lyons, New York, he was the son of the late Bernard and Alta Rensler Campbell. He was a Marine Corps Veteran and worked as a Sales Rep for Sysco Food Service for ten years, prior to working at Willow Run Foods for fifteen years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit and served as deacon and elder. He was also a former member of the Abington Lions Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons: Scott (Bill Sykes) of Washington, NC, Todd (Cindy) of Peckville, Andrew (Amy) of Concord, Massachusetts, and Bradley of Scranton; grandchildren Chris Stefursky (Sarah), Erin Harrington (Nate), Ryan, Elise, Mikayla, Emilie, and Sarah; and a brother, Bruce.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Willard.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 23 rd at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit, 300 School Street, Clarks Summit. A time of fellowship will follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Fred's name may be made to St. Judes, American Cancer Society, Salvation Army, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
