Frank Miller, Clarks Summit, died Saturday afternoon at Allied Hospice in Scranton. He was the widower of Dianne D. Miller who died on August 1, 2005.
Born in Olyphant, he was the son of the late Frank and Pearl Snodgrass Miller. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Eureka Printing Company in Scranton, Dunmore, and Jessup, while serving as a part-time police officer for Clarks Summit Borough. He was a Military Police Army veteran, a member of the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, and a lifetime member of the Clarks Summit Volunteer Fire Company, serving there for over sixty years.
Surviving are two sons: Frank Miller and his wife Janice of Duryea, and Jay Miller and his wife Kate of Clarks Summit; five grandchildren: Erin Miller Podobinski and her husband Michael, Ryan Miller and his wife Karli, Bridget Melia and her husband Don, Carly Miller, and Tori Miller, all of Clarks Summit; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Miller.
The funeral will be on Wednesday at 10:00 am from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, with services by John Mackey, Pastor of the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church. Internment will follow at the Clarks Green Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Clarks Summit Volunteer Fire Company, 321 Bedford St., Clarks Summit.
