Frank James Emmett of Clarks Summit died Sunday night at Mercy Hospital.
Born in Carbondale, he was the son of the late James and Mary Torch Emmett. Before retirement, he worked for many years at Specialty Records, Olyphant, while also operating Emmett & Son's Contracting. He was the proprietor of Norfab, a fiberglass manufacturer in Carbondale, until retirement.
He spent his retirement years with his son at Summit Cigar, attending his grandchildren's sporting events and playing slots at various area casinos.
Surviving are his former wife, Antoinette Emmett, Jessup; and children, Frank L. Sr. and wife, Tammy, Clarks Summit; Mark and wife, Lisa, Carbondale; Doreen Karanzas and husband, Keith, Reading; Michele Familetti and husband, James, Phoenixville; and Maribeth Emmett Nestor and partner, Tony Aileo, Jessup; four brothers, Ralph Emmett, California; John Emmett, Nevada; Vince Amato, Carbondale; and Joseph Emmett, Montana; 11 grandchildren, Frank L. Jr., Elizabeth, Dominique, Nicholas, Alyssa, Ryan, Jamie, Angeline, Maya, Gary and Tony.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Rose Marie Stephens.
A blessing service will be Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be at Glenwood Mausoleum.
Friends and family may call Thursday from 5 until the time of the service.
