Francis "Frank" Joseph Lincoln, 82, died Saturday, September 26 in a nursing home in Tunkhannock. He was born March 5, 1944 in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania as the 4th child of Joseph and Amelia Lincoln, and grew up at the family homestead on Lane Hill, overlooking Tunkhannock and the Susquehanna River. He and his wife, Audrey, have lived in their home on Lincoln Drive on Lane Hill for many years. After graduating from Tunkhannock High School, he had several jobs before becoming employed as a mechanic for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in Tunkhannock. He worked there for many years before his retirement. Frank had a passion and skill for restoring old cars, and he could be found working on several at any time.
In addition to his wife, Audrey, he is survived by his children Victoria (Ray) Hubert, Holly (Kurt) Steele and Frank (Megan) Lincoln; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Robert and Olive Lincoln of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
He is pre-deceased by his parents, and sisters Patricia Krewson and Helen Dixon.
Formal funeral services are not contemplated at this time.
