Frances F. Gunster (Fay)

Frances F. Gunster (Fay), 90, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at her home in North Abington Township. Family members were by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Edward C. Gunster, in 1990.

Born on June 7, 1936, in Scranton, Fay is the daughter of the late Mortimer B. Fuller, Jr. and Frances (Acker) Fuller.

Fay was a graduate of Madeira High School in McLean, Virginia, Class of 1953. She continued her education at Bennett College in Millbrook, New York.

Throughout her life, Frances was an avid reader and a wonderful cook who found great enjoyment in preparing meals and sharing them with those around her. She had a love for traveling and especially enjoyed going on cruises and exploring new places. Later in life, she made lasting memories along the way with her beloved partner, Paul.

Frances was an active member of her community and belonged to the Waverly Country Club and the Church of the Epiphany in Glenburn. She was also active in the Junior League, where she enjoyed giving her time and being involved with others.

She is survived by her daughters, Alison Herzberg and Tracy Hallstead; her sister, Patricia Fuller; her brother, Mortimer Fuller, III; her grandchildren, Robin Bosch, Elise Hallstead-Williams, and Eva Hallstead-Williams; and her great-grandchild, Ace Bosch.

A private interment will be held in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly, with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, South Abington Township, PA, 18411. Arrangements and care are entrusted to the Lawrence E.
