Frances Gesford

Frances Gesford, 86, of Clarks Green died Tuesday morning at home. She was the widow of the late John G. Butler and the late Harry G. Gesford Sr.

Born on December 25, 1930 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Lincavage Vasky. Frances was a member of Our Lady of the Snows church and worked as a weaver in a silk mill for many years. She was also employed by the Salvation Army and later became an antique dealer.

Surviving are a son, Harry Gesford; a daughter Frances A. Butler, and two sisters Mary Suhow and Ruth Paznonski.

She was preceded in death a brother Stanley Vasky Jr. and sister Carol Artley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will follow at Clarks Green Cemetery.
