Frances D. Cino, died Thursday morning at the VNA Hospice Unit in Community Medical Center. She was the widow of Charles F. Cino, who died May 9, 1979.

Born in Larksville, daughter of the late George and Mary Zalonis Krukonis. She was lifelong resident of Clarks Summit. Before retiring, she was employed for 25 years by Glen Oak Country Club. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church and its Ladies' Guild. She had a lifetime devotion to the Blessed Mother and had strong Catholic faith. She was totally devoted to her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and her greatest pleasure was sharing food she made with those she loved. Many will remember Frances for her warm smile, her big heart and her generous ways. Truly, to know her was to love her.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the entire staff of VNA Hospice for providing strength, courage and, most of all, love to their mother and her family and friends.

Surviving are two daughters, Marie Manning and husband, James, who were her caregivers and with whom she resided, Dalton; and Frances Cunningham and husband, Gary, Greentown; a son, Charles and wife, Karen, Glendale, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Charles Cino, Scranton; James Manning, Flemington, N.J.; Jennifer Steele and husband, Robert, Shavertown; and Michael Manning, San Ramon, Calif.; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob Steele, Michael Manning and Nathan Steele.

She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Bernadette; four sisters, Mary Mock, Helen Grimes, Julia Poland and Ann Kryzwicki; and a brother, John Krukonis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment, Abington Hills Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VNA Hospice and Palliative Care, 301 Deleware Ave., Olyphant, 18447.
