Foster Wilbur Veety, 88, of Falls Twp., died Tuesday morning at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore. He was the husband of Olga Koval Veety. The couple has been married for over 63 years.
Born in Falls, he was the son of the late William and Lena Fahs Veety. He was a lifelong farmer who was committed to his farm and providing for his family. He also enjoyed hunting. He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, Falls.
Also surviving is a son Foster William Veety and his wife Roxann, Falls Twp.; and three grandchildren Leanna, Samantha, and Craig Veety, all of Falls Twp.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Louise Veety and a sister Ellen Richards.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 10am from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa. Interment will follow in Newton Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
