Florence Weller, 60, formerly of Scranton, entered into eternal peace on Monday, January 8,2018 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson Florida. She fought a courageous battle for almost 10 years after suffering from leukemia.
Flory was the daughter of the late Bartholomew and JoAnn Burne. She was married to her husband Bob for 34 years and together they raised three loving sons.
Flory was a 1975 graduate of Bishop Hannan high school and held an Associates degree from Keystone College. In 2004, she earned a degree as a registered nurse from Pasco Hernando Community College. She worked at Community Hospital, Newport Richey, Florida and was consistently recognized as "best nurse".
In May, 2008, Flory was diagnosed with AML leukemia and the effects of this illness left her critically disabled. Her husband and children provided her with the dedicated care that gave her the will to live. Despite her struggles, her demeanor was upbeat, never losing her known sense of humor.
Florys utmost dream was to connect with the baby she had given up for adoption as a teenager. The deep love of her unknown child is one she thought of everyday. Her life was completed when this connection recently occurred and she was forever grateful to God for this true miracle.
In addition to her husband Bob, Florence is survived by her four sons, Steven Carbonaro, Deer Park, New York, Robby and Nicholas Weller, Port Richey, Florida , Gregory Weller, Mechanicsburg, PA, a brother, Bart Burne and wife Beverly, Laflin,PA, a sister, Joni Stone and husband Christopher, Clarks Summit,PA and a grandson, Rosario Carbonaro, Deer Park, New York.
