Florence Mulak, 90, of Springfield, MA, died Monday August 27 at the Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center, Scranton, PA.. She was the wife of the late Edwin Mulak. Florence was born in Springfield, MA. on January 17, 1928, and was the daughter of Zygmont and Stella (Lemanski) Pawlowski.

Florence was known as an excellent cook and an avid roller skater in her day frequenting the Rialto Skating rink where she met her husband " Winky ". When she wasn't taking care of her family she worked for years as a waitress at Lido's and Jaycox Restaurants and later in the deli department at Shop-Rite Supermarkets.

She is survived by her sons, Donald, Ware, MA; David and wife Barbara, East

Longmeadow, MA; and daughter, Cynthia Kearney and her husband Stephen, Greenfield Township, PA. Florence leaves four grandchildren: Karen, Brian, and Lauren Mulak and Zachary Kearney.

The family would like to thank the great staff at Allied for taking wonderful care of the "Mayor of 3 North" for 8 years. A private service will be held at a later date at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Agawam MA.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home & Cremation Svc., 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit, PA.
