Evelyn Andersen Osborn

Evelyn Andersen Osborn passed from this life into everlasting life on December 11, 2020, just one year and one day after her husband, Robert S. Osborn, Jr (Bob).   What a final homegoing it was as she was welcomed Home by her Savior, Jesus Christ, her husband, and all the loved ones who had gone before her.  Born in 1932 in Mineola, Long Island, New York, she was raised in Oceanside, Long Island, met and married Bob 67 years ago, and they raised their family of three sons in the town of Hauppauge, Long Island.  Following his retirement, they moved to PA, and they lived these last two years in Clarks Summit, PA.

She took great joy in raising her family, and she treated everyone she met like they were also family from the moment you met her.  Everyone was welcomed into their home, fed well and fed again.  She was active in church activities such as hosting missionaries and she enjoyed singing in the choir.  As they raised their family, they enjoyed family camping trips and was kept very busy going to her sons' many sports and music events.  As the family grew older, she worked for the IRS as a lead tax examiner until her retirement.  After she retired, she graciously and willingly took on the role of caregiver for so many of the older generation in the family and continued this even as a resident in the Willowbrook Place assisted living where she and Bob were residents by caring and encouraging each of them to the best of her abilities.

She was a true example of love and graciousness and has left a legacy that will not be forgotten.  Surviving are her sons Robert S., III (Gail) Clarks Summit; Paul (Diane) Clarks Summit; Wayne, Dover, DE; twelve grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren.
