Eugene Bernard Kasper, 78, of Factoryville died Tuesday morning at his home. He was the husband of Eleanor Skiba Kasper. The couple has been married for 53years.
Born in Taylor, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Frances Succoloski Kasperkoske. He was a graduate of Old Forge High school and went on to attend Fairleigh Dickinson and Scranton Vo-Tech. He served his country as a Petty Officer 3rd class in the Navy. He was self-employed metal machinist, owning and operating his own business for 50 years. He was a member of our Lady of the Snows Church.
Eugene was also a member of the Quiet Birdman and the Elks Lodge in Manville NJ. He enjoyed flying, fishing, and watching FOX News.
Also surviving are two sons David Kasper and his wife Theresa, Point Pleasant, NJ and Todd Kasper, Tunkhannock; a brother, Robert Kasperkoski, Taylor; a sister, Nancy Brown, Scranton; three grandchildren, Caleb, Hannah and Rachel Kasper; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister Andrea Edwards.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday at 10 am from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa. 18411, with services by Msgr. Joseph Quinn, Pastor. Interment will follow in Abington Hills Cemetery.
