Eugene Hurst Franks, Clarks Summit, died Friday at home. His wife, Delphia Winsett Franks, died in 1986.
Born in Detroit on July 28, 1928, he was a resident of Clarks Summit since 1974. He was a veteran and before retirement he was the owner of Walker Granite Co. in Chinchilla. He attended Our Lady of the Snows Church and had a love for animals.
Surviving are three daughters, Renee Lown, Maryland; Thoreen Burkhardt, Texas; and India Bailey, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, Clarks Summit, PA 18411. Arrangements by Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
