Ethel Ruotolo, 84, of Clarks Summit, died Monday morning at Hospice Community Care, Dunmore. She was the wife of Fred Ruotolo, who died in 2003.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late John and May Whelan Shea, she had been a resident of Newton Twp. for more than 45 years.
A wonderful wife and mother, she cared deeply about her family. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to express its appreciation and a sincere thank you to Traditional Home Health and Hospice, caregivers Tia and Michele and Hospice Community Care in Dunmore.
Surviving are four sons, Patrick and wife, Kim, Factoryville; Fred Jr., Dalton; Robert and wife, Debbie, Dallas, Texas; and James and wife, Suzanne, Birdsboro, Pa.; a daughter, Diane LaCoe and husband, Doug, Clarks Summit; four grandchildren, Scott and wife, Sarah; and Nicole, Ryan and Matthew; and a great-granddaughter, Alexa.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers, Dorothy Bandurick, Irene Barry, Geneveive Rose, Catherine Carson and John and Bill Shea.
Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m., at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit.
