Ethel M. Pinnock, 88, of Justus, died Wednesday morning at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. She was the widow of the late Ernest Earl Pinnock, who died on March 7, 1995.
Born in Boston, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Lillian Worthington Davis. Before retirement, she was a supervisor at Allied Services. She had worked in the Philadelphia Ship Yard during World War II and at the Scranton Lace Co., and was fondly remembered as a waitress at Topper's Diner. She was a member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church, where she served as a deacon and trustee, and on the memorial committee, and taught the Loyal Links Class.
Surviving are three daughters, Christine Moraski and her husband, Paul, Covington Twp.; Kathleen Noll and her husband, William, Justus; and Lillian Clapper and her husband, David, Retta; a sister, Sally Dushko, Old Forge; three grandchildren, Keith Noll, Nicole Gerhart and Courtney Moraski; two great-grandchildren, Tyson and Ethan Gerhart; and her beloved dog, "Isaiah."
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert T. Davis.The funeral service will take place on Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be in Mount Bethel Cemetery at a later date.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
