Elizabeth Schweitzer

Elizabeth Schweitzer, 95, of Fleetville, died Sunday evening at Forest City Nursing Center.  Her husband of 53 years was the late Thomas G. Schweitzer who died March 16, 1995.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Caroline Alexander Armbrust.  She was a graduate of Central High School and member of The Fleetville United Methodist Church.

She was a devoted wife and mother who loved God, her Country and family and made many sacrifices to ensure her five children graduated from The Pennsylvania State University. She was a loving grandmother who adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving is a son, David and his wife Sandra, Fleetville; daughters, Elizabeth Witt, Fincastle, VA, Lee Ann Reeves and her husband Robert, Atlanta, GA, and Gretchen Tiblin, Fredericksburg, Va; a sister Miriam Hawley, Nicholson; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Jr.; a son in law, Col. William W. Witt; and a brother John Armbrust.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Interment will take place in the Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly.
