Listen to Obituary

Eleanor T. Schultheis, 87, of Newton Twp. passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at her home surrounded by her loving family and "her Lilly".

Her husband of 62 years, Eugene R. Schultheis died March 6, 2020.

Born in Taylor, Eleanor was the daughter of the late George and Mary Fayocavitz Marshalek. Eleanor graduated from Newton Ransom High School in 1952 and was raised as a member of St. Stanislaus Polish National Catholic Cathedral and later a member of Countryside Community Church.

Eleanor was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister and aunt and was the best grandmother to her two grandsons. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters and close friends every week for many years. Eleanor enjoyed her weekly trips to the casino with her husband and meeting old friends along the way.

She was so proud of her family and never missed a sporting event or accomplishment of her son and grandsons. She was their biggest and loudest fan. Her strength, love, support and compassion will be missed by so many.

She is survived by her beloved son Daniel Schultheis, Ransom Twp.; two grandsons, Blaise Schultheis (Brittany), Hoboken, NJ and Ross Schultheis (Sabrina Laytos), Scranton; and sister Jean Richter, Exeter.

Eleanor was also preceded in death by two sons Eugene R. Jr. and Randel Schultheis; by two brothers George Jr. and Daniel Marshalek and six sisters, Ethel Zukowski, Helen Maciak, Stella Hricenak, Mary Rognoni, Josephine Scaringi and Rita Strok.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their kind and caring support.

Private family services will be held through Lawrence E. Young Funeral home at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Countryside Community Church, 14011 Orchard Drive, Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
