Edward Link, 81, of Tunkhannock and Handsome Lake, died Wednesday in Mercy Hospital. His wife is Elizabeth "Betty" Davies Link, the couple would have been married 59 years this September.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Joseph and Sadie Novitsky Link, he had been a resident of Tunkhannock since 1990, moving from Dalton. Before retirement, he was employed with General Motors for more than 30 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Nativity B.V.M. Church.
Also surviving are a daughter, Susan Link, Tunkhannock; and a sister, Evelyn Wilcom, Scranton.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Link; and two sisters, Helen Kich and Ruth Kaufmamm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 11 a.m. from Nativity B.V.M. Church, 99 E. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with services by the Rev. Paul J. Sellam, pastor. Friends are asked to go directly to church for Mass. Interment, Fairlawn Cemetery, Dalton.
