Edward C. Kaminski, of Newton Township, died Thursday afternoon in the Hospice Unit at Community Medical Center. His wife is the former Angie Lagana. The couple celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary Aug. 20.
Born in West Hazleton, son of the late Jacob and Anna Stacko Kaminski, he lived in Newton Township for the past 10 years. Before retirement, he was a forklift operator for White Westinghouse Co., Highland Park, N.J., for 35 years. He was an Army veteran serving in World War II and was a member of the Church of St. Benedict, Newton Township, and VFW Post 7069, Clarks Summit.
Also surviving are a daughter, Connie Tartaglione and husband, Charles, Clarks Summit; two grandchildren, Kristi and Derek; a brother, Joseph Kaminski, Hazleton; and two sisters, Delores Kasha, Bound Brook, N.J.; and Lillian Kaminski, Hazleton.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Florence Santrock.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Church of St. Benedict. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery, Glendale.
