Edmund W. Buntrock of Clarks Summit died Sunday afternoon at home. His wife of 58 years, Shirley Buntrock, died in February.
The couple had a son Edmund Jr.
Born in Ottertail, Minn., son of the late Richard and Minnie Marie Bartels Buntrock, he was a graduate of Ottertail High School and served in the Navy. Before retirement, he worked in sales at Sears. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Clarks Summit. He always looked forward to his trips to the casino.
He is survived by a step daughter, Donna Kunda, Scranton; two brothers, Alvin and Lorenz; four sisters, Phyllis and husband Henry Deboers, Adel and husband Duane Tonsager, Lorraine and husband Charles Russ, and Melinda and husband Richard Brau; and a step granddaughter Kelly McDonald, Staten Island.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Erhard, Allen, and Leonard; and two sisters, Carol Gruwell and Rosella Post.
A memorial service honoring both Edmund and Shirley will be held at a later date at Trinity Lutheran Church, 205 W. Grove St., Clarks Summit.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
