Edith Grace Griff died Saturday morning at her son's residence in Mehoopany. She is the widow of Bernard Griff Sr., former president of Troyler Corp., Scranton.
Born in Chambersburg, daughter of Emory and Gertrude Wright Carbaugh, she resided in Dalton for many years and was a member of the Dalton Baptist Church. Before retirement, she was a supervisor for Bendix Corp. She also enjoyed a lengthy career with the Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co.
She truly will be missed by all her friends and family. Edith passed away peacefully on Saturday morning.
Surviving are a son, Bernie Griff, Mehoopany; three grandchildren, Brad Griff, Michelle Catalano, and Matthew Griff and wife, Bethany Griff; and a sister, Ruth, Chambersburg.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Bernice Griff Catalano.
The funeral will be private at the convenience of the family at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery, Dalton.
