Eden Daniel Soliman, D.D.S., 75, of South Abington Twp., died Tuesday morning at Green Ridge Nursing Facility. His wife of 37 years is the former Dr. Arja Luukkonen.
Born in Assyt, Egypt, he was the son of the late Daniel and Soraya (El-Aggar) Soliman. He was a dental graduate of the University of Alexandria, Egypt and the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Prior to his retirement, he conducted his private dental practice both in Clarks Summit and Honesdale for over 30 years. He was a member of the American and Pennsylvania Dental Associations.
Also surviving are two sons, Daniel E. Soliman of Washington DC, and Samuel E. Soliman and his wife Jennifer of Carrboro, NC; twin grandchildren, Louise and Emerson Soliman, who were the light of his life; his siblings, Manal D. Soliman, MD, Sameh D. Soliman, and Noha D. Soliman, all of Egypt; several nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank both Dr. Peter Cognetti and Dr. Diane Ciaglia for their compassionate care throughout the years.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at noon from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home & Cremation Svcs., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit with services by Rev. Nancy Pitely.
Friends may call on Saturday from 10 am until time of the service.
