Dorothy Remick

Dorothy Remick, 91, Clarks Summit, died Monday morning at Dunmore Health Care Center. She was the wife of Leonard R. Remick who died in 1997.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Rose Janoski. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and Lackawanna Business College. She was a member of St. Gregory's Parish, Clarks Green, and enjoyed the Abington Senior Center where she was an active member.

Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who took great joy in her family. Her happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren.

Surviving are a son Lawrence and his wife Nancy, Clarks Summit; two grandchildren, Christopher Remick, Clarks Summit and Laura Remick, New York City.

She was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Janoski and a sister Leona Filipek.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Dr. Paul Remick, and the nurses and staff of Dunmore Health Care Center and Ascera Care Hospice for the loving and compassionate care provided to Dorothy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10 am from the Church of St. Gregory, 330 N. Abington Rd., Clarks Green, celebrated by Fr. John M. Lapera, pastor. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Scott Twp.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 am until time of the service at the church.
