Dorothy Perrick, 99, formerly a long time resident of Lake Winola, passed with peace and grace on January 10 at Bishop Wicke Rehab in Shelton, CT. She was predeceased by her devoted husband George in 2015 and her loving daughter Ellen Dressler in 2017.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Helen V. Gorman Carson. She was a former member of St. Mary of the Lake Parish in Lake Winola.
Known to many as "Bubbie", she will be always remembered as a devoted and fun-loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, who always gave of her time and heart. Open to all neighboring children, her kitchen was never closed. She leaves us rich in memories.
Surviving are three grandchildren, Jonathan Dressler, Blakely; Jeffrey Dressler, Bethany, CT; and Jessica Earley, Shelton, CT; four great-grandchildren, Alyssa Earley, Tyler Dressler, Dylan Dressler and Evan Walker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held privately at St. Mary of the Lake Parish with interment in Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
