Dorothy Marx

Dorothy E. Marx, Clarks Summit, died Wednesday night at the Allied Skilled Nursing Facility.  She was the widow of Joseph Marx who died in 2015.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John and Jenny Jones Burke.  She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church and enjoyed playing Bingo.

Surviving are two sisters: Ann Marie Haikes, Scranton, and Jane McGrath, Yardley, PA; a brother Harold Burke, Falls Church, VA; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit, by Msgr. Michael J. Delaney, pastor.  Friends may call on Saturday morning at the church from 9am until the time of the service.  Interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
