Dorothy M. Antosh, of Clarks Summit, died Sunday morning at her home. She was the wife of the late Frank R. Antosh, who died in 2002.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John and Nellie Gavalis. She was a graduate of West Scranton High School and prior to her retirement she was the owner and operator of Antosh Realty in Clarks Summit. She was of Catholic faith.
Dorothy was a life-long collector of antiques and was once featured in the Scranton Times for that hobby. Dorothy was a lover of animals and had many pets throughout her life. In recent years she loved to visit the animals at the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter and also adored her cat Copper. Throughout her retirement years, she enjoyed staying active, traveling with her husband Frank, playing golf, and spending winters in Boca Raton Florida.
Surviving are five nephews Joseph Antosh, Richard Gavalis, Erick Gavalis, Robert Zajac, and Thomas Zajac and a niece, Maryann Burkhart.
The family would like to thank all those who helped with Dorothy's care, especially Keesha and Michelle, who took a special interest in Dorothy's well-being.
She was preceded in death by a brother Richard Gavalis.
A blessing service will be held Friday at 10am from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa. 18411. Interment will follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.
Family will receive friends Friday from 9am until time of service at the funeral home.
