Doris E. Rought of Dalton died Wednesday night at Lackawanna County Health Care Center, Blakely. She was the widow of Raymond Rought.
Born in Dalton, she was the daughter of the late Judson and Olive Ross. Before retiring, she was a seamstress for a dress factory and, in her spare time, worked alongside her husband in several rock quarries throughout the area. She was a strong woman who enjoyed working hard and playing bingo.
Surviving are a brother, Robert Ross, Dalton; two sisters, Emma Franko, Taylor, and Jean Ross, Dalton; two caregivers, Alfred and Carol Ross, Dalton; many nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. Judy Wanck, pastor, Clarks Summit United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Schultzville.
