Doris "Pinky" Boyan, 89, of Spring Lake, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, PA. She was the widow of Billy Boyan who died in 1981. The couple had a marriage that many wanted to emulate.

Born in Harrisburg, March 26, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Alice Orr Grundon. She was a 1943 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.

Pinky was at her happiest surrounded by her wonderful family and many friends. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Loch, Lake Winola, PA and Cathy Van Fleet, Clarks Green, PA; a sister Jo Suzanne Deeds and her husband Joe, Mechanicsburg, PA; grandchildren, Jennifer Loch, Lake Winola, Michael Loch and his wife Carey, Howell, NJ, Mackenzie and Casey Boyan, Ballston Lake, NY; great-grandchildren, Tes, Colin and Brody Loch; as well as a large, fun family and many close friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Tim; her grandson, Todd Van Fleet; sons-in-law, Fred Loch and Dale Van Fleet; and sisters, Jane, Shorty and Jackie.

A Celebration of Pinky's Life will be held on March 12th at 12, noon, from the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Manasquan, NJ. Friends and family are invited to share memories and good times at 421 Sussex Ave., Spring Lake, NJ following the service.
