Donald F. Quinn

Donald F. Quinn passed away on Friday evening at the Jewish Home of Eastern PA in Scranton. He was 86 years of age. Although he lived most of his life in New York, he had moved to Dalton PA in 2016. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen of Dalton, as well as his dear son Tom Quinn and his grandson, John Quinn, both of Tunkhannock. He is also survived by a sister, Mary Storey of Dallas, Texas, one niece and three nephews.

Born in Queens, New York, He was the son of the late Francis B. Quinn and Evelyn Duguid Quinn. He graduated from Fordham University and St John's University and worked for 37 years as a teacher of history and economics at John Adams HS, and finished his career as a professor of history at St John's University. He served for six years in the United States Army Reserve.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday  at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 South State Street, Clark's Summit. Interment with military honors will follow at St John's Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens, NY
