Donald F, Drake, 95, of Clarks Summit, died on Friday May 20 at Allied Skilled Nursing Center. He was the husband of the late Betty Lang Drake who died in 2000.
Born in Waymart on March 24 1921, he was the son of the late Raymond and Edith Drake. Don served during WWII in the US Navy. He owned and operated Drake Diesel Service and CMC dealership in Dunmore, Pa. His positive attitude and generosity were his biggest assets.
Surviving are Donna Dailey and husband David, FL, Ellen Beechko and husband Andrew, Clarks Summit; Allen Charles Drake, Clarks Summit; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his sons Brian Francis Drake and Kenneth Drake,
A Memorial service will be on Saturday May 28th 10am at the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Highway, Clarks Summit. Interment will follow at Abington Hills Cemetery. Friends can pay their respects at 9am until the service.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to all the compassionate staff at Allied Skilled Nursing and Allied Hospice.
